2025-2026 Nominating Information and Leadership Opportunities

NALP values inclusive leadership and broad representation.  Our volunteer leaders bring diverse experiences, perspectives, and talents that strengthen our mission and service to members. Step 1: Consider the Options

  • Positions available in 2025-2026 include President-Elect, Vice-President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Vice-President for Member Services and Education, Directors, Regional Representatives, Nominating Committee Members and/or Conference Planning Coordinators.
  • Learn more about the available positions here.

  • Watch a short video with an overview of the NALP governance structure and volunteer leadership opportunities here.

Step 2: Complete the nomination form

Step 3: Meet the deadline

  • The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, November 17, 2025.

Step 4: Support your nominee(s)

  • Reach out to the people you nominated and encourage them to accept their nomination.

Step 1: Congratulations! 

  • Take a minute to recognize the leadership potential that your colleagues see in you or that you see in yourself!

Step 2: Consider the Options

  • Positions available in 2025-2026 include President-Elect, Vice-President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Vice-President for Member Services and Education, Directors, Regional Representatives, Nominating Committee Members and/or Conference Planning Coordinators.

  • Watch the Webinar:  Pathways to NALP Leadership: An Overview of the Nominating Process from Wednesday October 29 at 3:00 pm ET and learn how you can become engaged in NALP professional development and leadership opportunities.


Step 3: Prepare

  • Review what you need to submit well in advance of the deadline — some of the items may take some thought to prepare. 

Step 4: Complete the Application Requirements

Step 5: Meet the Deadline

  • Deadline to complete the on-line application and submit your materials is Monday, January 5, 2026.
